The Bangladesh Society of International Law (BSIL) is proud to be a signatory to the Joint Declaration on Ensuring the Full, Meaningful, and Safe Participation of Diverse Civil Society members in the ongoing UN process to create a Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Crimes against Humanity.
Alongside 160 organizations and 200+ individuals from diverse professional and lived-experience backgrounds, BSIL calls on UN Member States to guarantee inclusive, transparent, and victim-centred participation in the development of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Crimes against Humanity.
Meaningful civil society engagement, especially including survivors, local organizations, and voices from the Global South is essential to closing long-standing accountability gaps in international law.
